A young man with high hopes, Aga left Hengchun for Taipei to make good on his dream of becoming a singer in a band. After ten years of fruitless struggle, he returns home, his dream unfulfilled. Tomoko is a Japanese model asked to put together a local opening act for an upcoming beach concert to be held in Hengchun. However, recruiting the band members proves to be as difficult searching for the seven samurai. United by passion, music, and a mysterious package with an undeliverable address, Aga, Tomoko, and five other ordinary Hengchun residents come together and form an ordinary band that becomes an unbelievable phenomenon. A pop cultural sensation and the biggest box office hit in Mandarin Chinese language movie history, Cape No. 7 is a love story that transcends time, a love story happening in the here and now, and a love letter to Taiwan’s history, people, and way of life.
